The Political Process Project Vote Smart has information on campaign finance and voting records. Center for Voting and Democracy: information on how different election rules affect campaigns. Website for the Federal Election Commission: regulates campaign finance. The Center for Responsive Politics: contains information on campaign finance, also contains a list of major donors and interest groups. MTV’s Rock the Vote: an attempt to get young people to learn about, and participate in, politics. The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University runs this site: provides information on voter participation and tries to encourage people to register and vote.
Public and Foreign Policy

The website for the Central Intelligence Agency: includes the World Fact Book. The homepage for the Center for Strategic and International Studies provides research on international affairs. The website for the Defense Department. The website for the Global Affairs Agenda; interest group that promotes progressive foreign policy. The website for the United States Intelligence Community. The U.S. State Department is the primary agency in conducting foreign policy. The nonpartisan United States Institute of Peace promotes policies that encourage peace.
